A Bridal Shower Part Two - Make It Special!

Part of my attempt at making the bridal shower special for my NEW Sister-in-law, was to make sure her invitations were beautiful and classic, and to make her guest and family feel special. The bride was using a black and white theme in part of her home so I thought that it would be fun to incorporate that into the invitation. I also wanted to incorporate the bride's wedding color, Pool Blue as an accent. The invitations are made of up two quality papers and tied together with a ribbon which gives the invitations a special handmade touch. The envelopes are printed using a font which matches the invitation.

I also wanted to give a gift that was would become somewhat of a family heirloom and also something that the whole family could participate in. My brother mentioned that his bride wanted an apron and that he wanted to send one as a surprise gift to the shower. It hit me that a custom cookbook would be perfect to accompany his gift of the apron (not to mention we had gotten them a grill as part of their wedding present :)
Many friends and family members contributed all types of recipes which I compiled into a small spiral bound book. To make the book extra special, the design is custom and thecontributors are listed.

Have a custom gift in mind? Let me help you make your next gift or invitation extra special.
I can also have books made in bookstore quality with hardcovers and jackets if desired.

A Bridal Shower

I recently had the honor of throwing a bridal shower for my NEW Sister-in-law! I wanted to do something special for her and make the shower as memorable as possible, starting with our buffet decorations.
We had the shower at a good friends home. We used the pool table to lay out all of the food. Since the table was so large, it needed a custom table cloth. The bride's favorite color is green. I chose a deep mossy green to use on the custom table cloth since the shower was held in the fall. A classic black and white damask was chosen for the runner. Antique brass keys were scattered on the table.
The terrarium's hold black stones, moss, a small bird, a vintage brass key and a parchment scroll which reads "He holds the key to my heart". The terrarium's were topped with a green ribbon which had several shades of our green. There were small accents of the bride's wedding color, Pool Blue, found on the cake and in the terrariums.
This design was on a small scale and hard for me to photograph myself amidst the madness of getting everything ready. I would love to help you with the decoration of you next important event. Whether the event is large or small, you deserve a special event. I am able to help you with ideas, mock up options of the design, and also install the decorations before the event.

Hissy Fit - Where the Divas Shop for Kids Consignment

Small business branding is very important at this time in our economy. It seems like more people are shopping close to home and relationships between customers and businesses are very important. I was very excited to get the opportunity to work with Hissy Fit when Nicole (the owner) decided to open the store.
Nicole had a very clear image of how she wanted the design of the store to be and it was my job to design a logo that reflected the attitude of the store which is fun, bright, and whimsical!
Polka dots were a definite must have in the logo so they are incorporated as the border and a fun text and bright colors make the logo really pop. Since the logo is black we chose to play around with Hissy Fit's colors on the front desk signage. Take a look at the final product~ Logo, business cards, and some small ads! I would be happy to help you with your graphic needs. Pricing is affordable!
